Microsoft Surface Computing brings to life a whole new way to interact with information that engages the senses, improves collaboration and empowers consumers. By utilizing the best combination of connected software, services and hardware, Microsoft is at the forefront of developing surface computing products that push computing boundaries, deliver new experiences that break down barriers between users and technology, and provide new opportunities for companies to engage with people.

Microsoft Surface is the newest technology phenomenon from the Microsoft camp. This software and hardware combined, multi-touch product allows users to manipulate digital content by the use of natural motions, hand gesture or physical objects.Microsoft needed a location to store all of their articles and file downloads for their Surface Partner community online. They were also seeking a secure location where Partners could privately communicate to Microsoft about proprietary applications they built on the Surface platform.

The resulting user-friendly destination allows the Partner community to connect with Microsoft Surface and each other through blogs, forums, groups, custom search results, custom pages, LiveID authentication, a file download center (media gallery) and much more. The site is a great implementation of a product support community.

Design firm Avenue A/Razorfish teamed up with Telligent to provide a community site to fulfill Microsoft’s request. Telligent Professional Services performed the initial business assessment, developed the site, and hosts. Avenue A/Razorfish provided the user experience, information architecture, design and Silverlight navigation.
