Microsoft Silverlight
The Microsoft Silverlight community highlights the ability to rapidly build a complete community solution using Community Server.
COMMUNITY SERVER in Action
Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. Silverlight offers a flexible programming model that supports AJAX, VB, C#, Python, and Ruby, and integrates with existing Web applications. Silverlight supports fast, cost-effective delivery of high-quality video to all major browsers running on the Mac OS or Windows.
When it came to building the new community for Silverlight, Microsoft turned to Telligent. The new Silverlight community http://www.silverlight.net/ is built using the Community Server platform with a custom implementation by Telligent’s Professional Services team. It provides yet another example of the amazing level of flexibility of Community Server for matching a creative look-and-feel while providing a rich set of community features.
Telligent performed the implementation and integration in partnership with Microsoft.
