Brand Republic uses Community Server to extend its global interactive media activities.
Brand Republic, part of Haymarket Business Media, is the place to find out about the UK marketing, media and communications industries. It is the market-leading Web site for the online advertising, marketing, media and PR sectors and is holder of the PPA’s best business Web site award 2008. Publishing online since 2001, the site is also the online home for the leading marcomms titles and brands in business publishing, including Campaign, Marketing, Media Week, Revolution, Marketing Direct and Promotions & Incentives.
The team at Brand Republic wanted to implement a standardized social network platform for its various business sites while offering a seamless platform for users across all interactive elements–-e.g., comments on news stories, blog contributions, site registration, etc.
In February 2007, Brand Republic re-launched its online presence with a host of new community and personalization features and content. In May 2008, the team decided to build on the growth of its community by using the Telligent Community Server platform to re-launch blogs and forums and to introduce photo galleries. (Brand Republic also uses the platform to manage its user and bulletin registration process.)
As a result of the implementation, Haymarket Business Media now has a unified base across the Brand Republic network of sites, including the Marketing, Media Week, Revolution and Campaign Web sites. Specifically, since implementing the Community Server platform, BrandRepublic.com has realized a three-fold increase in monthly traffic to the community area of the site!
Telligent provided the Community Server Enterprise license, and the staff at brandrepublic.com performed the implementation.
“I would recommend the Telligent Community Server platform to any publisher who wants a robust platform for their community and interactive activities.” Paula Fox, Associate Online Publisher, Haymarket Business Media.
