Rob Howard shares his thoughts on where Enterprise 2.0 is headed

In a recent Social Computing Magazine article, David Booth continued his CEO series with a tech talk on this topic: Where is Enterprise 2.0 technology headed in 2009?

According to Telligent CEO Rob Howard,

"I very much expect real time collaborative editing will be coming into the Enterprise space. People are finding that they like the lighter-weight tools. Now, I think there will always be a place for MS Office products, but there are situations, especially for collaboration, where you want something very light, very fast, to make the changes very quickly, especially if these organizations are trying to be a lot more agile." He continued, "I see it happening within my company, where our teams are building slides together, and a group comes together to build a presentation, they will use tools like Google Docs to collaboratively work together, via the phone, Skype, or in a meeting, however it may be, and it’s very very efficient."
