There are some language packs in the media Gallery at http://dev.communityserver.com/media/tags/Language+Pack/default.aspx?PageIndex=1 but they are for CS2007 and earlier.

Is the mail problem happening for all users or just the one big user who is getting annoyed? We had a recent problem with CS2007 here where users within our facility were not getting emails with their userid and password after we registered them. Users outside our facility were getting them fine. I could see in the Event Log that they were being sent. Other emails were getting through OK (such as forgotten password ones). After opening a ticket with our Help Desk they investigated and found that

I see the same behavior sometimes on my home PC which has Norton Internet Security running. It has a built-in ad blocker.

Check that the role 'Everyone' has no permissions. (At least that's what I'd do under CS2007. I assume it's the same under CS2008).

It's a bit different in CS2008 than CS2007 as all of your file and photos will be in the Media Galleries, Check out http://docswiki.communityserver.com/wikis/cs20085docs/editing-a-media-gallery.aspx for an overview on setting permissions for a particular Media Gallery. You might want to go into the Wiki section (use the navigation bar tab) and select the CS2008.5 documentation. The only one I see in the Media section is for 2007.1, so I'd say the answer is 'no' unless someone in the community has one in development or on their own site.
