I am new to the windows/asp/dotnet world, having spent most of my time in the linux/php environment. That said, I am trying to 'rearrange' how different things show up on the home page. For instance, since it is a brand new community, there are not many 'friends' yet much of the page space (center) is devoted to that. Is there a way (other than editing default.aspx) to easily rearrange the content parts on the page? Thanks Mark

I installed 2008.5 yesterday, before I tried the 'quick upload' function? The 'box' was just blank, no browse button…and no files? Mark

You're quite welcome. I've used it on one of my other blogs for quite some time, and it has been very beneficial….enjoy

Just wanted to let you know that I put on my big boy underpants and did the upgrade today, and it was just as smooth as silk. I had to download some microsoft monstrosity (sql server manager) in order to run the sql script, but that is I think more of the hosting company issue. The cs2008 sp2 installer rocked at maximum…not a glitch Thanks Mark

Apture is a tool that embeds reference content in blog postings, and I wonder if anyone has used this with 2008.5 blogs? Mark

I've been reading through the forums here, but still haven't found a solution to what seems a pretty common issue. In 2008.5 when I go to the quick upload in the gallery, it provides a box that looks promising. When I click the 'select files' button however, nothing happens? What is the easiest way to upload a 'batch' of pictures to the gallery? Mark

I just brought up an installation on a shared host, and it turns out they're running the build in the subject line above. What do I need to do to bring this installation to the current version? Is it worth the trouble? My hosting experience is more on Linux, so please be gentle :>) Mark
