All Things Triathlon

AllThingsTriathlon.com is a social site for triathletes that provides articles, reviews, and triathlon-related items for purchase. Because the team at AllThingsTriathlon.com did not have an in-house programmer, it chose the Community Server platform due to its flexibility and user-friendly environment for building a community site.

Before Community Server, AllThingsTriathlon.com was not a functional Website. The previous developer team engineered a site that didn't work properly and had a dysfunctional store. In addition, any time the team at All Things Triathlon, LLC wanted to make a change to the site, it required outside assistance and an associated service cost.

Now that the triathlon community runs on the Professional Edition of Community Server, the team at All Things Triathlon, LLC has the ability to update the site on the fly. The new community site includes all the built-in capabilities of Community Server 2007--blogs, forums, photo galleries, etc.--as well as an eCommerce module for the store. Results of implementing the new platform include more search engine attention within one week on Community Server versus an entire year on the old site's architecture.

Telligent supplied the Community Server license, and Mr. LaPan utilized Community Server out-of-the-box, customized his own site design within the themes area of the software, and integrated an eCommerce module developed by Four Roads, LLC, a Telligent Certified Partner.
